“Baku is a historical city. It has attracted the attention of people as one of the most important cities where oil was found in the 19th century. Baku is also a political capital and Azerbaijan is a country rich in energy resources. The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline was once a dream. Our dream came true. Then we commissioned the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline. TANAP pipeline will make Azerbaijan as an important energy source in Europe. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway is a very important project and about to be completed. These projects, derived from Azerbaijan, pass through Georgia and Turkey to entire Europe. The world attaches great importance to these projects,” the former president noted.
