Warlick: Co-chairs to arrange meeting of Azerbaijani, Armenian presidents
The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs plan to visit the region in the near future, said US co-chair James Warlick, according to Armenian media.

The co-chair said they discussed possible ways of a solution to the conflict in the Washington meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargysan last week.

Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders are willing to intensify the negotiations, said the diplomat, noting “we always take the opportunity of negotiating with President Aliyev and President Sargsyan”.

“The date of the presidents’ meeting is yet to be determined but both presidents have said they want the negotiations intensified. The role of the mediators is about organizing a normal process of negotiations. We will visit the region in the near future to organize the presidents’ meeting,” he stated.

He also added that the conflicting sides are seeking a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

“I think both President Aliyev and President Sargsyan are trying to find ways to settle the conflict. The conflict has been lasting for years and already left a large number of human lives incomplete. We want this ended,” the co-chair stressed.
