Donald Tusk offered his condolences to the president and people of Azerbaijan over the casualties as a result of the fire occurred in a residential building in Baku
President of the European Council Donald Tusk had a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on May 21.
According to the Azerbaijani president’s press service, the European Council president offered his condolences to the president and people of Azerbaijan over the casualties as a result of the fire occurred in a residential building in Baku on May 19.
The Azerbaijani president expressed his gratitude to D. Tusk for his condolences and attention.
The sides then discussed the Azerbaijan-EU relations and expressed satisfaction with successful development of the relations, built on a solid foundation, in political, economic, energy, transport and other fields.
They also exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU.
President Ilham Aliyev invited Donald Tusk to visit Azerbaijan. The invitation was accepted.
