Poland interested in expanding energy cooperation with Azerbaijan
The South Caucasus region is of great importance in terms of energy sources and supplies. I am very pleased to attend this exhibition.
Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Janusz Piechociński made the remarks Tuesday at the opening ceremony of the 22nd international Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (Caspian Oil and Gas 2015).

Piechociński said today Azerbaijan and Europe are working togetehr to create a single global energy market.

“We should stress the crucial role of Azerbaijan and South Caucasus in this process. We are interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector. The diversification of sources is very important. Poland pursues a successful policy of diversifying routes as well. I think that the companies participating in the exhibition for the first time will further deepen the business ties”, he added.

The deputy PM mentioned that the Poles played an important role not only in the architecture of Baku but also in the development of the oil industry in late 19th and early 20th centuries.

“We want to see Azerbaijan’s economy flourished. I express my gratitude to the president for his role in strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Poland. I call on everyone to invest in Azerbaijan”, he noted.
