Egypt`s Brotherhood announces week of rallies
The Muslim Brotherhood announced a week of daily rallies to "peacefully bring down the coup" that toppled Islamist president Mohamed Morsi on 3 July, said Gehad El-Haddad, the group`s spokesperson on Friday night, via Twitter, Ahram reported.
The decision by the Brotherhood comes after 3 days of violent clashes between its supporters and security forces since police crackdown on pro-Morsi sit-ins in Cairo and Giza on Wednesday left at least 500 dead and hundreds injured.

The "week of departure" rallies are planned to take place from various places including mosques.

Pro-Morsi protests on Friday, dubbed as "Friday of Rage," which were staged in response to Wednesday`s police crackdown, resulted in the killing of tens and injury of hundreds.

The Egyptian government on Friday renewed its intent to deal firmly with any attempts at staging sit-ins or "acts of terrorism," by Morsi supporters.
