Azerbaijan and Iran establish joint industrial city and logistical terminal

Azerbaijan and Iran will commission a joint industrial city and logistical terminal, said Davud Shayeghi, chairman of Programming and Management Organization of Iran’s Ardabil province, AzVision.az reports citing APA. 

 

He said the purpose of the establishment of the logistical terminal and Azerbaijan-Iran joint industrial town is to further develop the trade and economic relations in the Parsabad-Mughan near-border region: “By establishing the logistical terminal, the export from Ardabil province to the Caucasian countries, Central Asia and Russia will increase. The quantitative leap will occur in the area of making investments into production, packaging, and industry sectors”.

D. Shayeghi saying that currently the project of connection of Parsabad city being the second largest city of Ardabil province with Bilasuvar city is being implemented, also informed that the Parsabad-Bilasuvar trunk highway will be a four-lane road. The implementation of this project is a priority issue, and moreover, the works for the improvement of infrastructure in Parsabad city will be implemented during this year.

D. Shayeghi also added, currently the works are being implemented for the incorporation of the logistical terminal and the joint industrial town.
