The Israeli delegation first visited the synagogue that belongs to the Mountain Jews. Milikh Yevdayev, the head of the Azerbaijan’s Mountain Jews community, met them and gave information about the synagogue.
Jews always live in Azerbaijan in peace and tolerance, and in the country all conditions have been created for coexistence, said Yevdayev.
The Israeli guests then visited the synagogue of European Jews (Ashkenazi) in the capital and were thoroughly informed about the synagogue.
The Israeli delegation also includes the country’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz and head of the National Olympic Committee Igal Carmi.
