Police Manhandle and Detain Electricity Hike Protesters in Gyumri
A group of young people also took to the streets of Gyumri, second largest city in Armenia, to protest a hike in electricity rates.

They were able to unfurl a banner in Theater Square that read “We are against an electricity hike. Have a bit of humanity”, before cops rushed in and used force to disperse them.

Around 10-15 demonstrators were detained, including Hayk Barseghyan, Tigran Petrosyan and Karen Petrosyan.
