 Azerbaijan extends special strict quarantine regime

Azerbaijan extended a special quarantine regime until 31 August 2020 regarding an analysis of the sanitary-epidemiological situation related to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection , AzVision.az reports citing Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Special strict quarantine regime will be eased in Lenkaran and Samukh from 20 July 2020 in accordance with the decreasing contraction rate of the coronavirus cases. 

Following an analysis of the sanitary-epidemiological situation related to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, the special strict quarantine regime will continue in the cities of Baku, Jalalabad, Ganja, Masalli, Mingachevir, Sumgait, Yevlakh and the regions of Abhseron, Barda, Goranboy, Goygol, Khachmaz, Siyezen and Shaki. 

All public transport on weekends in the cities and districts where the special quarantine regime is being tightened shall be suspended on the following dates:

From 00:00 on 25 July to 06:00 on 27 July;

From 00:00 on 1 August to 06:00 on 3 August.

The activity of hairdressing and beauty salons, and rendering of cosmetic services, except for massage parlors and baths, are allowed from July 20 in the Azerbaijani cities in which the tightened quarantine regime has been introduced. 

Also, the period of permission to leave the place of residence or location is extended from two to three hours from July 20 in these cities.
