The letters sent by the chairman of the committee to more than 50 countries reflect detailed information on many issues such as the main objectives of the offensive attack launched in the north-western part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, the reasons for conducting military operations 250 km away from Karabakh, new military doctrine of the enemy, aiming for a "new war for new territories", the killing of a civilian living in a border village, the scale of the devastating damage to civilian households, threats posed to transnational oil and gas pipelines and transit lines under reliable international security guarantees and reliable sources of European energy supply, dissemination of false information regarding the incidents on the frontline by the Armenian side, etc.
On behalf of Harriet Harman, the Chair of Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights of the House of Commons in the Parliament of the United Kingdom, the appeal addressed by the committee official was answered. The letter reads: "Mrs Harriet Harman thanks the Chairman of the Committee, Zahid Oruj, for the detailed information on the "military provocation of Armenia."
Giving some valuable recommendations, Mrs Harman also stressed the proposal made by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament, which regularly gives opinions on human rights in the world, Parliamentary Group on Azerbaijan and Member of Parliament Bob Blackman on the inclusion of a discussion on "Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan" to the agenda on July 13, 2020, immediately after Tovuz battles.
The chairman of the committee, Zahid Oruj, expressed his gratitude to the chairman of the Joint Human Rights Committee of the British Parliament for the attention and prompt response, noting that the Azerbaijani side will pay attention to the issue at the upcoming parliamentary hearings in various formats.
