Speaking to journalists in Baku on Friday, the diplomat said Azerbaijan and Pakistan enjoy high-level bilateral ties in many areas, AzVision.az reports.
He underscored the need to boost economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Hayee said one of the areas needed to be developed is tourism. “There was an increase in the number of tourist arrivals from Pakistan to Azerbaijan last year. Azerbaijan is a very beautiful country. There are vast opportunities to expand cooperation in this area.”
The diplomat said the opening of direct flights between the two countries is among priorities.
“Pakistan and Azerbaijan are friendly countries. It is very important to launch direct flights, which will also contribute to the development of business ties,” he added.
