More than 20 Azerbaijani civilians were killed in Armenian attacks - Tural Ganjaliyev

The aggressor Armenian army has been committing war crimes against the Azerbaijani civilian population for already seven days, said Head of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, MP Tural Ganjaliyev, AzVision.az reports.

“During these days, Armenians have deliberately been shelling Azerbaijani cities and villages by rockets and heavy artillery from Azerbaijan’s occupied territories and Armenia,” he said.

According to him, consequently, more than 20 civilians were killed and over 50 were injured.

“The enemy also severely damaged houses and civil infrastructure. This once again shows that the military-political leadership of the aggressor Armenia intends to continue the occupation of our lands by committing inhumane acts and war crimes,” Ganjaliyev said.

“As the victims of this unjust war because of the Armenian occupation of Azerbaijani territories, we state that the Azerbaijani Army neutralizes only military targets. Unlike Armenia, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces do not target civilians. However, the Armenian leadership has deliberately placed military facilities near residential areas. Everything can be expected from such an inhumane military-political leadership,” he stressed.

"Azerbaijan is not fighting against the Armenian population of its Nagorno-Karabakh region, but against the occupying Armenian army. We aim to liberate Karabakh, which we have longed for nearly 30 years, and return to our homes there,” Ganjaliyev added.
