On October 22, Azerbaijani officer, colonel of Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, National Hero of Azerbaijan Shukur Hamidov was martyred in the fighting for the liberation of Gubadli region, AzVision.az reports.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to Nariman Hamidov, father of Shukur Hamidov.
The head of state stressed that Hamidov's name will be immortalized in the Gubadli region, where he was born and died for its liberation.
