Every inch of land liberated at cost of Azerbaijani soldiers

Armenia involves children in the military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh region violating the international conventions, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev said at the briefing held on November 3.

“We have witnessed Armenian crimes against children in Khojaly. Recently, the Armenian missile attacks on Barda, Tartar and Ganja cities have killed 11 children. The recruitment and use of children by armed forces is a grave violation of child rights and international humanitarian law”, Hikmet Hajiyev stated.

The Presidential Aide touched on the shelling of schools and kindergartens by Armenian Army highlighting the destruction of more than 50 schools and kindergartens on the front line and other territories.

"Armenia turned a kindergarten into a military headquarters in one of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan as the Azerbaijani Army does not target kindergartens. This is the hypocrisy of the Armenia side”, Hajiyev noted.

Hajiyev stressed that President Ilham Aliyev inform the people on the liberation of Azerbaijan's lands from the Armenian occupation. He also added that every inch of land is liberated at the cost of Azerbaijani soldiers’ lives:

"Sometimes we expect the occupied territories to be liberated quickly. However, we must take into account that those lands were liberated by our military under the fire of the opposite side. Although the occupied territories are small, those may be the second armed territories in the world. In such conditions, Azerbaijan's brave sons liberate our lands”

Hajiyev also asked the citizens to refrain from spreading rumours and unverified information stressed that sharing information about the location of Azerbaijani troops pose a threat to safety and lives of the soldiers.
