The spokesman noted that the Armenian armed forces also shelled residential settlements in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam, Aghjabadi and Tartar districts using small arms, howitzers and mortars.

He said that over the past day the combat operations continued mainly in the Tartar, Aghdam, Khojavend, Zangilan and Gubadli direction of the front.

According to the spokesman, the Armenian troops that attempted to launch attacks in the direction of Aghdere, Aghdam and Khojavend were forced to retreat suffering losses following the resolute retaliatory actions taken by the Azerbaijani Army.

In the last 24 hours, a large number of Armenian troops, including a regiment commander, a battalion commander, a group of snipers and tank crew were eliminated. Moreover, the Armenian army’s 2 tanks, 3 guns, 1 unmanned aerial vehicle, 3 military vehicles, one Zastava M-55 anti-aircraft gun and one UAV vehicle with the military personnel inside were destroyed.

Eyvazov stressed that Azerbaijani troops are currently maintaining the operational superiority on the battlefield.

The spokesman also said that Armenia’s military-political leadership is now talking about some kinds of “victories” by spreading disinformation and creating fantastic scenarios.

“Armenia’s leadership, instilling false ideas about our goals, is trying to involve the Armenian society in the war against the Azerbaijan Army. Armenian troops waging an asymmetric war against our army are detected and destroyed by our units even in the depths of the front. Fighting bravely in the mountains, forests, and trenches, Azerbaijani soldiers struggle against an enemy troops hiding in kindergartens, schools, and other civilian facilities,” he added.

Eyvazov stressed that the Azerbaijani Army, under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, is successfully advancing and clearing the occupied territories of Armenian troops.
