  Son of ex-Armenian defense minister wounded in Karabakh battles

Artur Ohanyan, the son of Armenia’s former defense minister, Colonel General Seyran Ohanyan, was wounded in the battles in Nagorno-Karabakh, Ohanyan’s Karen Mejlumyan announced, AzVision.az reports.

Artur Ohanyan was hospitalized after being wounded in the ongoing battles in Karabakh, said the lawyer, not disclosing further information.

The former Armenian defense minister Seyran Ohanyan was also wounded in yesterday’s fighting around Shusha.  

Ohanyan, who has served as Armenia’s defense minister for many years, is one of the perpetrators of an act of genocide committed the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly on February 26, 1992.
