Armenian police unblock Baghramyan Avenue forcely, after 14 days of sit-in - PHOTOS
The avenue where protesters have been holding a sit-n for 14 days in a sign of protest against hike in electricity prices is open.

Hundreds of police officers are standing in pedestrian zone, traffic at Baghramyan Avenue has been restored, AzVision.az reports citing Armenian media.

At least 40-50 activists have been detained as a result of dispersal of the protest action against the increase in electricity tariffs in Armenia, Maxim Sargsyan, one of the leaders of the protestors told.

“Currently, we are trying to find out the exact number of the detainees and the place where they were taken,” he said. “Afterwards, we will decide on our further activities.”
