Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh continues to stabilize, says Russian MFA Spokeswoman

The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh continues to stabilize, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova at a briefing today, Azvision.az reports.

Spokeswoman said that the situation in Karabakh continued to stabilize during the week, no ceasefire violations, as well as provocations against the Russian peacekeeping contingent were registered.

Zakharova said that the implementation of the trilateral agreement signed on November 10 continues without incident.

Russian MFA official highlighted that these positive trends are proof of the righteousness of the line approved by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"Russian peacekeepers continue to create conditions for the search of missing servicemen and bodies. The ICRC actively works. We also work with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees , UNDP, UNESCO, UNICEF and the World Health Organization.

We believe that the comprehensive measures taken by Russia jointly with Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as interested foreign partners and structures, will contribute to peace and security in the South Caucasus," Zakharova noted.
