Azerbaijan discloses number of people killed in mine explosions

Since the signing of the November 10 on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, 6 civilians and 6 military servicemen have been killed, 7 civilians and 14 military servicemen injured by landmines, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement came after UNESCO’s press release on sending of a mission to Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports.

The ministry stressed that as the Armenian army withdrew from occupied Azerbaijani territories, it mined the area around historical and cultural monuments and turned the area into a dangerous zone.
