The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan updated the list of Azerbaijani servicemen who martyred in the second Nagorno-Karabakh War, AzVision.az reports.
Click here to see the photos, names, surnames, information about military ranks, and date of birth of 2823 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who died as martyrs in the second Nagorno-Karabakh War and were buried by December 28.
Note, work is underway on finding more than 30 servicemen considered as missing and the identification of more than 50 persons, whose identity has not yet been established.
Information on this will periodically be presented to the country's public.
Armenian Armed Forces launched a large-scale military attack on positions of Azerbaijani army on the front line, using large-caliber weapons, mortars and artillery on Sept. 27. Azerbaijan responded with a counter-offensive along the entire front.
On November 10, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia signed an agreement to end six weeks of fierce fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh.
