Turkish minister: Azerbaijanis laid down their lives for country and flag

Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Chief of the General Staff Yasar Guler and a group of high-ranking military officers are on a visit to Azerbaijan.

At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, the Turkish delegation led by Minister Hulusi Akar was welcomed by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and other officials. Then a military ceremony was held.

Along with Azerbaijani military personnel, Turkish troops, who will carry out a mission at the joint Turkish-Russian ceasefire monitoring center in Nagorno-Karabakh, took part in the event.

The Turkish minister congratulated the military personnel on the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army.

“Everything is clear and unequivocal,” said Akar, calling the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood ‘eternal and indestructible’.

The minister noted that the Azerbaijani Army has done what needed to be done.

“You have bravely and truthfully fought for the freedom and independence of Azerbaijan, the liberation of Azerbaijan’s territories. Everyone laid down their lives for the country and its flag,” Akar added.
