  Russian President speaks of Karabakh at his meeting with the Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin has convened a meeting of the Security Council. He briefed the participants on the results of trilateral talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh on January 11, AzVision.az reports citing the Russian media. 

"I want to inform you about the results of the meeting with my colleagues from Azerbaijan and Armenia," Putin said.

He emphasized that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will also make a report. The meeting was attended by permanent members of the Russian Security Council - Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and other officials.

Note, the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia held a trilateral meeting in Moscow on January 11, and the leaders signed a joint statement.
