Armenia’s defense minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu held a phone conversation on February 1 at the initiative of the Russian side, AzVision.az reports citing the Russian media.
Defense ministers discussed the results of the Armenian-Russian headquarter negotiations over military cooperation held during the previous week as well as the process of solution of Armenia’s security issues in post-war period.
Armenia’s minister hailed the activity of the Russian peacekeeping troops in Nagorno Karabakh, stressing that the best testimony of its efficiency is almost complete maintenance of ceasefire thanks to which no serious emergency incidents were recorded in December and January.
Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Sergei Shoigu also discussed issues on regional developments.
