BP ready to change Baku-Supsa pipeline route
According to BP-Georgia`s public relations manager Tamila Chantladze, the company has a plan envisaging the removal of the pipe from the occupied territory, AzVision.Az reports citing Georgia-Online.
She said this plan appeared shortly after the pipeline was commissioned.

"From the very beginning, as we started operating the pipeline, we had to replace some old sections. We have replaced some, and part of them was to be accepted for operation and we continued operating it.

There was a plan to replace the rest part and, consequently, this is a part of this plan. In line with the plan, the pipe will be removed from that area. Over the past few years the operation has been safe and quiet and the same situation is observed today", Chantladze said.

Georgia claims that the Russian military forces have moved the occupation line in Tskhinvali region some hundreds of meters inside Georgia, seizing part of Baku-Supsa pipeline operated by BP.
