Armenian military provocations destroy 3 schools in Azerbaijan

The Armenian missile strikes damaged 16 school buildings in Tartar district during the 44-day Nagorno-Karabkh war, said the head of the Education Department of Tartar region Yashar Maharramov, AzVision.az reports.

"The building of 3 schools is in a completely useless condition. These are Duyerli, Shikharkh 1 and 5 secondary schools",Yashar Maharramov noted.

"Experts are conducting an assessment. Pupils of those schools will study at other schools. Pupils of Duyarli village secondary school were transferred to Yukhari Sarijali village secondary school, pupils of Shikharkh school No. 1 were transferred to Shikharkh school No. 2, and pupils of city school No. 5 were transferred to city school No. 1", he highlighted.

Mahrramov also stated that other 12 rural schools were repaired and full-time education was restored at those schools. "The restoration work will be completed at Husanli school on February 15. The windows of these schools, the boiler system, the assembly hall and the classrooms were damaged. They have been partially restored. New windows have been installed at City School No. 1, but work must be done inside the building. Because the shell hit the building. The windows and windows of the remaining schools have been renewed ", he added.

Maharramov noted that due to the long distance between Shikharkh School No. 1 and Shikharkh School No. 2, the Ministry of Education allocated a bus, and students were taken from home to school and returned.

"Although the students of the three destroyed schools have been transferred to other schools, there is no overcrowding during the resumption of full-time education. Students take turns going to class", he concluded.
