It is time to intensify the negotiations on the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
“There are grounds to presume that the time has come to intensify our efforts,” said Lavrov during the meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov.
Russia’s foreign minister said that taking into account the common determination to achieving a result, “we can ensure this progress”, RIA Novosti reported.
Mammadyarov for his part said that the completed long-lasting talks on Iranian nuclear program give hope that Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can also be resolved.
“The settlement is taking a line towards a speedy breakthrough,” said Mammadyarov.
