Hollande offers condolences to Turkey over bomb attack
French President Francois Hollande offered his condolences on Tuesday to Turkey over the Suruc bomb attack that killed 31 a day earlier.
Hollande also underlined the importance of cooperating against terrorism in his telephone call to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a presidential spokesman said under a customary condition of anonymity.

Erdogan said Turkey attached great importance to cooperating with allies against terrorism and would support France in dealing with its nationals seeking to join extremist groups. He also mentioned Turkey’s homegrown militant groups – the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and the Revolutionary People`s Liberation Party-Front – and their targeting of Turkish diplomats abroad.

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is among those who have identified Daesh as the likely perpetrators of Monday’s attack in Suruc, a town close to the Syrian border.

Earlier, Greece, China, Spain, Canada, the UN, Britain, Germany, Pakistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, the U.S. and Kosovo offered messages of support to Turkey.
