The statement came from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the meeting with board members of the Council for Press.
According to the head of state, press has a unique role here.
"I say this quite openly to you and I ask to continue work in this direction so that the society and officials who commit these violatins knew that no wrong reaction will be left unanswered", Ilham Aliyev said.
"Much is yet to be done about this. Press plays a role of an excellent support personally for me. I am sure that we will further continue this cooperation", the head of state said.
