Azerbaijan discloses number of casualties by mine explosions in its liberated lands

Some 18 people were killed and 32 others injured in landmine explosions in the liberated Azerbaijani lands, said Samir Poladov, deputy chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan (ANAMA).

Addressing an event dedicated to April 4 – the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, Poladov said Armenia’s refusal to share the maps of minefields with Azerbaijan causes a delay in demining the liberated lands, AzVision.az reports.

The ANAMA official said anti-tank and anti-personnel mines are the main source of danger.

Poladov added that thousands of billboards have been installed in the liberated Azerbaijani lands to warn of the danger of mines.
