Representatives of Moscow and Washington held contacts on the situation in Donbass, says Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, TASS reported.
"We had contacts with the US administration in Donbass. We have exhaustively conveyed what is going on to the US side," he said.
According to Ryabkov, an ever more provocative and defiant behavior of Kiev and its Western benefactors led by the US is observed.
"Washington must be concerned by the consequences of this coordinated policy. I see no point in going back to this topic," the diplomat said.
On Monday, US Department of State representative stated that Washington is open for interaction with Moscow on the situation in eastern Ukraine. According to the US diplomat, Washington considers reports of movements of Russian forces near the Ukrainian border and in Crimea to be "credible." The representative also urged Russia "to refrain from action that could led to an escalation."
