Armenian PM Pashinyan steps down

Armenian PM Pashinyan steps down

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced his resignation to trigger snap parliamentary elections.

In an address on Sunday, Pashinyan recalled that snap parliamentary elections would be held in Armenia on June 20, 2021.

Armenia’s parliament has approved a draft amendment that the elections will be held only on the proportional electoral system.
