Man injured in shootout between PKK and Turkish police
Turkey has faced a number of terrorist attacks in recent days.
A shootout has occurred between the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the police in Turkey’s Hakkari province, leaving a police sergeant injured, Milliyet newspaper reported July 28.

Reinforcement troops have arrived at the scene to assist the police.

PKK militants blew up two bridges in Turkey’s Mus province earlier today. They were the main bridges on the highway connecting the provinces of Mus and Diyarbakir.

Moreover, earlier, terrorists opened fire on the car of the chief of the Mus province’s gendarmerie, Major Aslan Kulaksiz.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from severe wounds.
