“The state is changing the system, but it is difficult to change the people who work in it,” Pashinyan said at a government meeting Thursday, AzVision.az reports.
He noted that the country’s health minister or other officials cannot personally, every day, visit every facility to monitor the working process. Pashinyan said all the perpetrators will be held accountable.
In turn, Hayk Grigoryan, Chairman of Armenia’s Investigative Committee, said a criminal case has already been initiated over the incident.
Earlier, a scandal erupted over publications about the storage conditions of the remains of dead soldiers in the Abovyan branch of the Forensic Medical Examination Center. According to the footage circulated on the network, the body bags were scattered around the room.
