Javid Gurbanov, head of Azerbaijan Railways made the remarks during the event dedicated to the arrival of the first container to Baku via the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
He said the agreement on purchasing the locomotives will be signed in Baku Aug.3.
“The first diesel locomotive has arrived today and we are awaiting nine more,” said Gurbanov.
He added that these trains are manufactured in Kazakhstan jointly with the US.
