“Russian peacekeepers do not allow us to move” – Conversation of two Armenians in Lachin (VIDEO)

Russian peacekeepers deployed to Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region are trying to prevent Armenians from leaving Karabakh en masse.

A video posted on YouTube features the dialogue between two Armenians, who are saying that Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh do not allow them to leave their homes, AzVision.az reports.

In the video, journalist Narine Kirakosyan and the driver on their way through the Lachin corridor are talking about their defeat in a recent war in Karabakh, the ongoing struggle for power in Armenia, as well as about the living conditions of Armenians residing in Karabakh.

Their dialogue reveals that the Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh are forcing the Armenians not to leave Karabakh.

“Russian peacekeepers tell us that we need to return. If we leave [Karabakh], Azerbaijan will tell Russia that there is no one left to protect here and demand the withdrawal of peacekeepers. That’s why they [peacekeepers] are preventing us from leaving Karabakh,” Kirakosyan said.
