Iran-Turkey border not closed
Iran-Turkey border is not closed, said Majid Aqababaee, an official with the Iranian Interior Ministry.
He rejected news about the closing of the Iran-Turkey border, saying that all the border crossings, especially Iran-Turkey borders are opened, the Interior Ministry’s website reported August 4.

“There is no problem in land borders. However, a section of rail borders has been temporarily closed at the request of the Turkish government due to technical problems. But, it will be reopened soon.”

Over the past few days, a gas pipeline transferring Iranian gas to Turkey, and the Ankara-Tehran railroad were attacked with explosives on Turkish territory near the Iranian border. Some media reported that the Iran-Turkey border should have been closed after the attacks.
