The last visit of the ambassadors of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, who have been prolonging the settlement of the Karabakh conflict with their useless visits to the region for years has surprised us. Some of us naturally welcomed this inadequate behavior.
We were surprised that the ambassadors of the three big countries did not accept Azerbaijan’s offer to visit Shusha. It would be better if those countries, which have taken on the role of arbitrators for the settlement of the conflict, did not make such a mistake in front of the whole world.
All know that Azerbaijanis have lived in the historical and beautiful city Shusha. All historical monuments, palaces, buildings are connected with Azerbaijan’s name.
Ambassadors of the United States, France and Russia, who have been visiting the region for almost 30 years, had to know and inform their countries about these facts. So, it was interesting what they actually did during these 30 years.
At least, Russia which has been part of the same empire with us for nearly 200 years had to know it. They must know that Azerbaijanis made up the absolute majority of Shusha during the Soviet period.
Russians were well aware that Shusha was the cultural and musical capital of Azerbaijan during the Soviet period.
Why do they disrespect to Azerbaijani President's offer? It is strange that these three countries, which have been at odds in most issues show a sudden solidarity in the issue of Shusha? As if they did not want to offend Armenia. Or they have no answers at all, they hide ...
Currently Shusha belong to its real owner - Azerbaijan and you have accepted this fact directly and indirectly. What does this demarche mean? Did you regret it? Or don't you want to see the truth and justice?
