Turkish army to launch large-scale military operation against ISIS soon

Turkish army to launch large-scale military operation against ISIS soon

Turkish Armed Forces are expected to launch large-scale military operation against ISIS in the near future.

An anonymous official of anti-ISIS coalition member countries told the aforesaid, APA reports quoting Milliyet newspaper.

The official in Ankara said that earlier, they didn’t want Turkey to inflict air strikes on ISIS positions on its own, adding “the air operations should be conducted in conjunction with the coalition forces”.

Stressing that Turkey will continue air operations against ISIS, the official said that Turkey proposed to use several military bases in its territory during military operations.

The official stated that they recognize PKK as a terrorist organization.
