He went on to add that the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the People`s Republican Party (CHP) need to come to an agreement in order to form a coalition government.
It was earlier reported that the Turkish opposition People`s Republican Party put forward the final terms for the formation of a coalition government with the Justice and Development Party.
One of the opposition’s demands is that the members of the People`s Republican Party must head the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education.
The final round of negotiations between the Justice and Development Party and the Republican People`s Party on the formation of a coalition government will take place in Turkey Aug.3.
Turkey held parliamentary election June 7, which involved 20 political parties. Over 53 million people cast their votes in the election.
During the parliamentary election, Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party garnered 40.9 percent of the vote, while the People’s Republican Party (CHP) gained 25 percent; aside from that the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) got 16.3 percent, and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) garnered 13.1 percent of the vote.
