Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Musaid bin Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Salim provided an insight into the history of the country.
He also highlighted fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.
On the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the ambassador briefed the event participants on the agreements and memorandums signed between both countries.
Musaid bin Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Salim noted economic relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia were strengthening.
The ambassador said Saudi Arabia was interested in boosting relations with Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov conveyed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s congratulations to the Saudi Arabian people.
The Minister touched upon friendly relations between the two countries.
Mr. Rahimov thanked Saudi Arabia for supporting Azerbaijan`s just position on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He expressed confidence that the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia relations would continue to develop even further.
The event brought together state and government officials, MPs, as well as ambassadors of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan.
