Germany`s Ambassador in Ankara Martin Erdmann has said that under the international law, Nagorno-Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan.
In an interview with dpa agency, Erdmann, who previously served as Germany`s Ambassador to NATO, said although the region of Nagarno-Karabakh nder international law belongs to Azerbaijan, it is controlled by Armenia.
Erdmann also spoke about Germany‘s role in the 28-country military alliance and the ongoing discussion about a possible revival of the NATO-Russia Council, which used to be a forum for discussion and cooperation at political level.
