Iran-Turkey re-open checkpoint
Two days after suspending Iranian trucks arriving in Turkey, the two neighbors re-opened the Bazargan checkpoint.
During last weeks several attacks were carried out against Iranian trucks in Turkey, which left one dead and several injured.

Iran has warned its citizens to avoid travel to Turkey through land since Aug.8, but Alireza Dashtani, the Director general of Supervision on transit department of Iran Custom Administration told Fars News Agency on Aug.14 that all activities in Bazargan checkpoint has been resumed.

"During Thursday some 347 Turkish trucks arrived in Iran and 307 Iranian trucks passed the borders towards Turkey.”

He said that currently the number of Iranians who travel Turkey has decreased by 20 percent.
