Azerbaijani FM meets the ambassadors of Finland and the Philippines

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Azerbaijan Kristi Narinen, AzVision.az reports citing the MFA.

FM Jeyhun Bayramov noted the prospects for the development of relations between the two countries referring to the meeting with his Finnish counterpart within the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. The sides stressed the significance of holding political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

Ambassador Kristi Narinen highlighted that she had a very interesting meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. Kristi Narinen also referred to the meeting with members of the Friendship Group with Finland in the Milli Majlis. The ambassador stated that Finland was interested in establishing peace in the region and was ready to contribute to the future development of the region in peace. During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for the development of economic, energy, environmental, and educational relations between the two countries.

Also, FM Bayramov met the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines to Azerbaijan Maria Elena Algabre. Bayramov wished the ambassador success. The Minister praised the existing political ties between Azerbaijan and the Philippines. He stressed the significance of further developing cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, tourism, people-to-people contacts, and other areas.
