The sides hailed the special role of the Azerbaijani and Russian leaders in the comprehensive development of bilateral relations at the level of strategic partnership, based on friendship and good neighborliness.
They emphasized the importance of the humanitarian sphere, one of the important areas of bilateral relations, and reaffirmed their mutual intention to further develop cooperation in this area.
The officials also discussed issues of cooperation in the field of culture, an important part of humanitarian relations, and exchanged views on holding joint events.
The attention and care paid to the Russian language and Russian culture at the state level in Azerbaijan were highly appreciated, and the presence of over 340 Russian-language schools in Azerbaijan was noted.
They noted that despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, humanitarian relations between Azerbaijan and Russia continue.
The officials also exchanged views on the diaspora and other issues of mutual interest.
