We believe that the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan will lead to lasting peace and economic progress in the Caucasus region, says the final declaration of the 15th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The Ashgabat Declaration comprises provisions in the interests of Azerbaijan. The document congratulates the people and government of Azerbaijan on the liberation of the occupied territories and the restoration of territorial integrity.
The significance of establishing good neighbourly relations in the Caucasus region was also highlighted in the declaration.
ECO member states are also called upon to invest in the construction and reconstruction of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
