Azerbaijan opens criminal case over death of two civilians in mine blast

Azerbaijan opens criminal case over death of two civilians in mine blast

Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office has initiated a criminal case over the death of two civilians in a landmine explosion in Dashalti village of Shusha district.

The preliminary investigated revealed that Orkhan Khanatov (born in 1999), an employee of Voltac contractor, and Vusal Bandaliyev (born in 1992), an employee of Cengiz Inshaat LLC, lost their lives as a result of a landmine blast while carrying out repair and construction work in Shusha district, the Prosecutor General’s Office told AzVision.az.

The Prosecutor General’s Office has initiated a criminal case over the incident under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Necessary investigative measures are underway.
