  Pacific Alliance office opens in Baku

An office of the Pacific Alliance has opened in Azerbaijan’s capital city of Baku. The opening ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, the ambassadors of Mexico, Colombia and Chile, AzVision.az reports. 

Speaking at the event, Colombian ambassador to Azerbaijan Luis Antonio Dimate Cardenas said the Pacific Alliance pays particular attention to regional integration and cooperation in the tourism sector. He noted that the opening of the Alliance office in Baku will contribute to the further expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and the member states.

The Pacific Alliance is a trade bloc that includes four Latin American countries: Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Colombia. Azerbaijan is an observer of the alliance.
