Share of cash in circulation decreased in Azerbaijan - Economy minister

The share of cash in circulation decreased from 60.1 percent in 2017 to 45.8 percent in 2021 in Azerbaijan's currency terms, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on Twitter, AzVision.az reports.

"Reducing the use of cash is an important indicator of the decline in the illegal economy," Jabbarov stated.
