Baku comments on distorted information on Turkmenchay Treaty disseminated by Russian MFA

The distorted information about the 1828 Turkmenchay Treaty shared on the official social network account of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the day of signing the Declaration on Allied Interaction between Azerbaijan and Russia is surprising and regrettable, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, AzVision.az reports.

"We want to emphasize that the agreement does not refer to the word 'Eastern Armenia' at all, and, of course, this fact should be well known to the History and Records Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry."

"We consider it important to remove the distortion, and we expect that the false information on the official social network page of the Russian Foreign Ministry will be corrected," the ministry added.
