The long and hard work by the State Commission of Azerbaijan on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons resulted in the discovery of the remains of the victims of Armenian terrorism in the administrative territory of the liberated Edilli village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district.
The mass grave was located with the help of one of the persons released from Armenian captivity during the First Karabakh War. The former captive noted that after torturing to death residents of the surrounding villages, Armenian terrorists buried the bodies there.
Parts of the clothes, severed limbs and broken bones of the victims of the Armenian terrorism were found in the mass grave. The number of people buried here is estimated at 20.
